Jim Hermsen sa nascut in 1982, Tha Playah reprezinta pentru multi noul varf de lance al hardcore-ului olandez. Prima aparatie a fost in 2002 la casa de discuri Neophyte Recordings si de la primul vinil Jim a dovedit ca poate aduce un stil nou si energic in scena muzicala. Promovat puternic de Neophyte si de casa lui de discuri au urmat mai multe productii ce i-au adus faima internationala. Melodiile de pe EP-ul "Fuck the fame" din 2004 au fost promovate de majoritatea dj-ilor consacrati si astfel Tha Playah a ajuns in compilatii ca Hardcore To The Bone, Army Of Hardcore si A Nightmare In Rotterdam. In 2008 Jim a scos pe piata mai multe productii impreuna cu cei mai talentati artisti ai momentului Evil Activities si DJ Neophyte. 

Primul lui album intitulat The Greatest Clits din 2006 este prezentat pe site-ul casei de discuri "The debut album of one of Neophyte Records' finest, youngest and most talented hardcore artists, Tha Playah is called "The Greatest Clits". This double CD by this mastah of shock includes loads of exclusive fresh hardcore tracks produced in a way only Tha Playah can: boombastic, melodic, ruff and slammin'!!"
